Month in Review:

January 2020 and Out of Town Buyers

The Kerry Stevenson Real Estate Team

It's hard to believe January has already passed, it looks like 2020 is going to go as quickly as 2019 did. We wanted to review the first month of the year to get an idea of the kind of action we've been seeing on the market and what we could see happening in the future.

A report was released by Royal LePage earlier in the month showed the average price of sold homes in the city increased by 2.1 per cent in the latter half of 2019. A lower inventory and increased sale price of detached homes is a partial contributer to this increase, and projections are being made for a lively spring market as a result.

For us, this month set us off to a great start for the new year. The team sold 5 homes, which put us at #2 in the office for sales for the month. A number of the buyers we worked with were from BC who were looking to move to Calgary, excited about what the city has to offer in calling it their new home.

Our team's decades of experience combined with our innovative and unique marketing tools helped bring these new residents to our city, and will only strengthen our efforts as 2020 progresses.
